in such a culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse country, It is sad that the people of other parts of indonesia cannot get along with the people of Irian Jaya. I have experienced the racism towards Papuans in Java first hand, and it is very sad. Questions of Independence are not the main issue, the people of the other Indonesian Islands need to respect their Papuan brothers/sisters.
This is why they occupy West Papua!!!
They're stealing their natural resources (minerals,wood) and destroying the natural enviroment and habitat.
And killing the indigenous people when they stand in their way!
